4th Dimensional Travel
The Sirons are credited with inventing 4th Dimensional Travel in the late 23 Century after making the breakthrough discovery of the variable distance/time ratio of the 4th dimension which, although considered as highly dangerous, when correctly navigated fractionalizes space travel time.
One of the greatest dangers encountered by 4th dimensional travellers is that an exit portal may be situated in a inherently dangerous location, such as below water or within a volcano as has happened in recent times.
