Galactic Patrol and the Overlords

Each player when joining the game must choose to join either the Galactic Patrol or the Overlords. These are referred to in the game as the Opposing Alliances.

The Galactic Patrol started out as a Police Force based jointly on Vulcan and Earth and was expanded to become a political body and to protect the interests of the Home Planets of the Galactic Patrol Alliance:-

Vulcan

Everland

Elgan

Canopus

Earth

The Overlords developed in opposition to the Galactic Patrol and after a series of wars against the Patrol also developed into a political and military alliance of five planets now known as the Home Planets of the Overlord Alliance:-

Mystral

Tarus

Vega

Mordar

Alpha

Independant historians class the Galactic Patrol as a benevolent, democratic alliance of like minded planets in favour of peacefull expansion and development of the galaxy.

The same historians class the Overlord Alliance as a self-interested group of planets dedicated to conquering the galaxy by force of arms.
