Vulcan
Vulcan is inhabited by an ancient race known as Vulcans who have a highly developed civilization based on mind power, co-operation and self control. Vulcans are brilliant and inventive, and are the galactic leaders in Galactic Science and Medicine. Vulcans are happy with their existance and are not interested in territorial conquests. This is of considerable relief to other less competent inhabitants of the Galaxy.
Vulcans and Humans have been allies since the days of the Old Empire. Vulcans are honest and incapable of telling untruths. They do not require sustainance in the form of food and survive on a form of energy consumption not yet understood by other intelligent lifeforms. Vulcans make excellent soldiers and chess players but poor politicians.
Everland
Everland is home to The Krull, another ancient race that have largely outgrown the need for work and toil in their society. An enormous matter reorganizer powered by the energy of their solar systems' duel Suns, provides whatever nourishment The Krull require whilst they are remain on Everland. This matter reorganizer is also a powerful weapon which makes Everland impervious to outside attack.
Everland is a large, dense planet that has gravity 2.6 times that of Vulcan. Consequently The Krull are squat, powerful individuals, who are difficult to defeat in fights.
The Krull live in vast underground caverns made of a rich red rock, and rarely venture outside to the planet surface, where it is desolate and wind-blown.
Elgan
Elgan is a young planet by galactic timetables and is one of several planets orbiting Saladun, a young star in the 18023:99384:98320 Quadrant. The Massons are a young race by our galactic standards and were discovered as an intelligent lifeform only recently. They are artistic and have given the Galaxy many of its great recent works of art.
The Massons are sworn enemies of The Clan of Mystral against whom they have fought several wars. They can change their appearance, are sneaky and make great spies. Elgan is in an Ice Age with most of the planet covered in snow and ice. The sky over Elgan is mostly grey.
Canopus
Canopus is populated by the Sirons who have given civilization 4th Dimensional Travel and Space-warp Navigation. Currently the Siron scientists are working on a theory of Universal Travel. Sirons tend to be introverted but are loyal friends. They syick to themselves and do not harass their neighbours.
Many of the space craft currently used by both the Galactic Patrol and the Overlords were adapted by the Dream World space engineers from concepts developed by Sironian designers.
Canopus is situated far from its two suns and is dark and cold. Landscape is pockmarked and similar to that of many moons.
Earth
Earth is inhabited by a friendly but ambitious race called Humans who are instinctively inclined towards the peaceful, political domination of other races. Humans have made many galactic discoveries of new worlds, and have brought civilization to a number of unoccupied areas of the galaxy.
It is a continuing source of annoyance to Humans that they were the ones responsible for assisting the Overlords of Mordor to develop a strong industrial and military infrastructure.
Earth has a blue atmosphere and oceans with white clouds.
Mystral
Mystral is home to a race of intelligent beings called The Clan who are a race very similar to Humans and at about the same stage of development. The Clan deeply resented the attempts by Earth through the efforts of the Galactic Patrol to exercise political control over Mystral and to dominate the known Galaxy.
The Clan have one long term objective – to defeat the Galactic Patrol and conquer Earth.
Mystral is similar to Earth in appearance except that the sky and oceans are red due to the presence of large quanties of iron in various forms.
Tarus
Taurans have for centuries lived and thrived by preying on other nearby cultures. Their planet Tarus is a treasure house of precious metals and gems. Taurans tend to live for the moment and appear to have little sense of good and evil. However do not underestimate taurans - they are clever, cunning and totally ruthless.
Tarus is unusual in that it is barren and hilly but with many oceans and lakes teeming with animal and plant life.
Vega
The Vegans of Vega are a proud and honourable race who were initially allied with the Galactic Patrol but became disillusioned with what they considered to be preferential treatment given to Humans and Vulcans in developing trade relations with newly discovered planets.
As Vega is a barren planet situated in a dying solar system with few remaining natural resources the Vegans are desperate to colonise other planets to which they can relocate their immense population. They see their best course of achieving this to be in alliance with the Overlord group of planets.
Vegans live underground in great cities. The surface of the planet now has almost no atmosphere and is continually bombarded by meteorites and rocks from space.
Mordar
The Overlords of Mordor are feared by all other races. They are a beautiful race of beings but their appearance and gentle manner disguises their ruthlesness. They are also very intelligent and work together in close co-operation to achieve their common goals.
For centuries the Overlords have conquered and enslaved their neighbours. Their appearance belies their inner selves. The Overlords of Mordar are the most dangerous race in the Galaxy and are feared by all, even their friends.
Mordor has blue oceans and a pink/orange sky. It has beautiful trees and plants and exotic wildlife abounds.
Alpha
The Immortals of Alpha have for centuries been the arch-enemies of the Sirons. Believed to have come originally from Canopus, and are similar to Sirons in appearance. The Immortals are fierce fighters and build great space craft.
The Immortals are greatly feared as they usually do not take prisoners.
Alpha has many large cities and is very colourless and cold. Its oceans are grey and the sky is usually covered in grey clouds.
