Samarands

The long extinct intelligent beings who originally inhabited Samara and left behind many cities, structures machines and tools preserved by the dry, Desert athmosphere of Samara. The Samarands possessed a highly complex civilization totally adapted to their Desert environment.

They built a complexity of motor vehicles ideally suited to Desert travel. Many of these vehicles incorporate features unique to the Samarand civilization.

Evidence exists which suggestd that the Samarand civilization was destroyed by some form of Bacteria believed to have been carried to the Planet by Meteor. The only intelligent inhabitants of Samara are groups of mutants thought to be un-related to the original inhabitants.
