Scale of Life-forms
The Immortals of Alpha have maintained a Planetory Almanic for centuries and is now adopted by most planets as accurate within the scope of available knowledge. This Almanic contains a scale which lists the various life-forms discovered to the present time, according to certain general characteristics. The scale is: -
Category 1
Single cell organisms.
Category 2
Multi-celled organisms incapable of independent movement.
Category 3
Organisms capable of independant movement.
Category 4
Organisms containing a brain and nervous system.
Category 5
Organisms with a language of greater than 1,000 vocal sounds.
Category 6
Organisms capably of using tools.
Category 7
Organisms capable of producing and using electrical, chemical, neucular or other non-naturally occuring sources of power.
Category 8
Cell-less lifeforms that display intelligence.
