Ships

The term "Ships" originally referred to watercraft that are capable of offshore navigation and which were used on planets that have oceans. The term has been extended to refer to large spacecraft that are capable of inter-galactic travel. Ships may be operated by:

Governments (military, rescue, research, transportation) Private companies and institutions (transportation, offshore resources, research) Individuals (pleasure, research).
