Sirons

The Sirons of Canopus have given civilization 4th Dimensional Travel and Spacewarp Navigation, and are currently working on a theory of Universal Travel. Sirons tend to be introverted but are loyal friends. When Sirons scientists embark on a program which requires mind power they enter a state of awareness called the Sirronian Mind Meld in which the group of scientists involved in the program join together mentally to solve problems encountered. It is impossible to give a more concise description of the processes involved as even the Sirons do not fully understand the mechanics of the Sironian Mind Meld.

Many of the space craft currently used by both The Galactic Patrol and the Overlords were adapted from concepts developed by Sironian space engineers, ofter as the result of employing the Sironian Mind Meld. Sirons are industrious and loyal but perform quite poorly when required to carry out physically demanding activities. They are also slow to respond to danger as under their planetary constitution the require a positive 80% vote before they can can commence offensive operations.

Canopus, Home Planet of the Sirons, is situated far from its two suns and is dark and cold. The landscape of Canopus is similar to that of many of the Moons that are sprinkled throughout the Galaxy. Constant Overlords attacks have left areas of the planet burning. The Galactic Patrol has a large force permanently stationed off Canopus to ward off the Overlords Alliance attacks.
