Sweeper

The Sweeper class of warcraft was initially developed by Dream World space engineers for the specific purpose of detecting and elimination space mines from sectors in which fleet actions were planned. Both the Overlords and The Galactic Patrol employ Sweepers to operate in conjunction with heavy fleet units. Whilst this remains the primary role of the Sweeper the Overlords have expanded the role of the Sweeper to include various activities considered unlawful by The Galactic Patrol including piracy, hi-jacking and gun-running.

Various attempts have also been made to convert Sweepers to the Swift class of spacecraft by incorporation of racing powerplants and operational and navigational computers suitable for Spaceracing the fastest growing sport in the Milky Way Galaxy. Results of these experiments to date have been mixed although it is considered by many exponents of Spaceracing that it is only a matter of time before a successfup protptype soaceracer based on a Sweeper is operational.
