Swift

The Swift class of Spacecraft is one that has been developed to cater to the growing popularity of Spaceracing throughout the Milky Way Galaxy. This sport has developed over a period of several decades having originated with smugglers and their need for speed to escape hijackers, and also local and galactic law enforcement. The Swift class developed as a superfast, unarmed, lightweight craft which relied solely on high speed and manoeuvreability to escape from danger.

It also became necessary to develop fast, accurate, lightweight operational and nagigational computers to cater to the specific requirements of the Swift class of Spacecraft. Everland and Vulcan led the way in the design and production of a new generation of onboard computers which met the specific requirements of spaceracing. Other planets followed and there is now a multitude of fast, lightweight operational computers available on the galactic markets.

Swift class spaceracers are now employed extensively throughout the Milky Way Galaxy as spaceracers, in events held over a wide range of distances and environments.
