Vulcan

Vulcan is situated in a solar system with an aging red sun. The planet is very mountainous with many active volcanos. During the past 100,000 years a gradual expansion of the radius of the sun has caused an increase in the the surface and internal temperature of Vulcan and an increase in Volcanic activity.

Vulcan towns nad cities are built in valleys away from active volcanoes. The planet is currently masked in yellow smoke and vapour from volcanos. The cloudy Vulcan sky reflects volcanic activity. Scientists believe that the increase in temperature and volcanic activity are only temporary and that in a few hundred years things will return to normal.

Vulcan has huge natural resourses and has at times caused them to become the target of greedy neighbours.
