Welcome to Galactic Patrol, something new on the block.
This Tutorial is designed to help you better understand the game and to save you time and effort by telling you how the games works and how to get fast results.
[edit] Getting Started
Come aboard the Galactic Princess and travel to our Galaxy of the future where life is never dull or boring. Our Galaxy is exciting and fulfilling. Here you are constantly surrounded by your friends and endless adventures await you.
The main object of the game is to acquire Assets, Experience and Personal Stats through a multitude of activities and adventures and thereby advance in Rank, with the ultimate goal being that of becoming the Galactic Emperor.
Before you start the game, it is best if you read all about the history of the Milky Way Galaxy, The Galactic Patrol and the Overlords, as well as that of the Home Planets, and Adventure Planets.
After you have read the History you can then:- elect to join one of the two Alliances:-
{A} Join either The Galactic Patrol or the Overlords Alliance
{B} Select a Home Planet allied to the Alliance above that you have chosen.
Take it easy when starting out. Go for low Nerve Crimes, cheap Weapons, and Attack players of your own Rank and work your way up. In no time you will be a wealthy Chairman or Space Marshall leading a Star Fleet into Battle.
[edit] Side Bar
The Side Bar, which is situated on the right side of most game pages, contains the links to the main areas of the game. This is quick, but not the principal, point of departure when navigating through the game. All of these links will be talked about in detail later on in the tutorial.
[edit] Personal Stats
On your My Page you will see a section called "Personal Stats". Personal Stats are used at various times when playing the game such as when Attacking. Your Personal Stats can be gained through a variety of means such as through training at the Gym, doing a course at the Academy and by Donating.

This is the page that contains a general history of the Milky Way Galaxy and histories of The Galactic Patrol and Overlords as well as the Home Planets and Adventure Planets. It is also the links to Home and Adventure Planets.
[edit] Passport Office/Traveling
The Passport Office is where you need to go before you can Travel to another Home Planet or Adventure Planet. You need to have a Passport and enter in your Passport Code Number before you are able to Travel. Passports can be obtained free of charge at the Passport Office located in Game Control.
[edit] Home Planets
There are 10 Home Planets - 5 alligned to The Galactic Patrol and 5 to the Overlords alliance. The inhabitants of these planets have different personal qualities of which you should be aware before you choose your Home Planet. Once you reach a senior rank, you can also enter Politics and can be elected as Leader by fellow members of your Home Planet.
[edit] Adventure Planets
There are 8 Adventure Planets at present and many exciting experiences you will have in the game will occur on the various Adventure Planets. Find out full details of the Adventure Planets through History via Game Control. There are many ways to increase your statistics and make money on the Adventure Planets.
[edit] Academy
Academy is a very simple and effective way of increasing your Personal Stats. All you need to do is pay a small fee and wait a few days. Different courses will give you extra Personal Stats.
[edit] Ammo [Ammo)
In order to Attack someone using Primary or Secondary Weapons, you first need to buy some Ammo for that specific weapon. To buy Ammo, click the Items link then Ammo Locker and finally click Manage next to the Weapon you wish to buy Ammo for.
[edit] Bank
When you put Money in the Bank you are given three investment options. 5% for 7 days, 10% for 14 days or 30% for 30 days. Once you start an investment account you will not be able to start a new one untill the current one has finished.
[edit] Battle
Battle takes place between two opposing players and can involve up to 18 Spacecraft on either side plus Mines. The Challenge for Battle will arrive in your Mailbox and the person being challenged can accept or refuse a challenge.

[edit] Preferences
Name
To change your Player Name (you cannot change your login name), go to Preferences. Any players with discriminating names will be dealt with harshly. Players can only use names with letters A-Z, a-a, numbers 0-9, characters _ and - and names can be no longer then 15 characters.
Password
To change your login Password, go to Preferences. When you change your Password you will need to enter your new Password two times and enter your old Password once to confirm the change. Personal Information All information you enter here will be able to be viewed by all on Galactic Patrol.
Profile Picture
To upload your Profile Image, go to Preferences and you can upload a picture from there. Players with offensive images will be dealt with harshly.

Chat is an online chat facility otherwise known as IRC (Internet Relay Chat). You can find out more information on the Chat page.
[edit] Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct incorporates the Game Rules and sets out what you can and cannot do while playing the game. You can find out more in Game Control under Administration.
[edit] Crimes
As well as getting assets by doing Crimes, you can also get Experience which helps you to attempt high crimes and make it up to the next Rank. There are two outcomes for crimes - success or failure. If you succeed you gain Experience and an Item or Money. If you fail you get nothing and go to Jail for a short stay. Nerve is needed to commit Crimes.
[edit] Gym
To become a stronger player you need to train at the Gym. The link to the Gym can be found on the Side Bar. When you go to the Gym you select a Personal Stats you wish to train and a number of times you would like to train. You can train once per every 5 units of Energy.
[edit] Donations
Donations are used to help better the game by paying for better and faster servers. Donators also get an advantage over non-donators. Visit Donator Club for more information.
[edit] Energy, Nerve and Stamina
Energy, Nerve and Stamina are all very important in Galactic Patrol.
Energy
Energy is needed to perform certain activities of Galactic Patrol including to Train in the Gymand to Attack people. Attacking a person uses 50 Energy and for each time you Train you use 5 Energy. Players get 5 Energy every 10 minutes and Donators get 10 Energy every 10 minutes.
Nerve
Nerve is what is used to do Crimes. You receive 1 Nerve every 5 minutes. Stamina is what helps you succeed in Crimes and get better results when Training at the Gym.
Stamina
Stamina is directly related to the House you have. You regain 5 Stamina every 10 minutes until it is full.
[edit] Experience
Experience is a measure of how successful you are in the game. Your Experience is directly related to your Rank and other things. You can get Experience from a whole range of things from Training at the Gym, to committing Crimes and Attacking people and winning.
[edit] Galactic Emperor
When you attain Rank 50, you can challenge the reigning Galactic Emperor or if there is no reigning Galactic Emperor, your nearest ranked opponent to a Battle. The Battle is an interactive graphical flash segment, the winner becomes Galactic Emperor.
[edit] Gambling
The Adventure Planet Vegas, has various forms of gambling such as roulette, dice and many many more. Players can win substantial sums of money which can then be used to buy various Assets, Weapons, and Spacecraft and to advance in other areas of the game.
[edit] Game Rules
Game Rules are included in Code of Conduct and determine what you can do, and what you cannot do. Go to Game Control and look for Code of Conduct under administration for more information.
[edit] Health
Health is what helps you survive in Galactic Patrol. When you are Attacking or being attacked your Health is what determines whether you are alive or dead. When your Health reaches 0 you a put in the [[Hospital] for a short period of time. Your maximum Health increases with your Rank.
[edit] Hosptial
When you are injured (when your Health reaches 0) you are placed in the Hosptial for a certain amount of time. You either have to wait till you can get out or buy some Medical Items.
[edit] Mail Box
This is where all your Mail arrives and when you can send Mail from. When you receive a Mail if you think it is inappropriate you can click the Report link and the mail will be reported to a Staff member. Anything inappropriate sent in Mail will carry a Mail ban for the sender.
[edit] Members Online
Members Online is a page where you can see all the members active in the last 60 minutes (last hour).
[edit] Jail
Jail is where you go when you fail Crimes and other such things. You will either have to wait the time you are in for, try to Breakout or wait for someone else to Bust you out.
[edit] Ranks
You get higher wages and can command better Spacecraft as you advance in Rank. Ranks are different for The Galactic Patrol and Overlords and your level is the number of your Rank. You can increase your Rank by doing Crimes, training at the Gym, Attacking and beating people etc.
[edit] Space Race
Race other members around the Milky Way Galaxy and place bets on the outcome. You can custom build your own Racecraft by selecting components of your choice from all those available on Dream World.
Each race is over one of several courses with the outcome dependant on the skill of the pilot and the racing intergrity of the respective racecraft competing.
[edit] Stock Market
At the Stock Market you can buy Shares from the big companys in the Galaxy. Once you have Shares you can watch and sell them from your Stock Portfolio. The Stock Portfolio link will appear on Stock Market and on My Page when you have Shares.
